Grade A green jade pea pod with great lustre and translucency, uniquely designed as a butterfly pendant/ brooch. The green pea pod has a rich and vivid green hue evenly distributed across the jadeite. The jadeite's quality is good with fine jade grains and rich water content, therefore the entire pea pod appears shiny and glossy. Clarity is good with no cracks or significant inclusions to note. A special setting technique - Plique-à-jour (French for "letting in daylight"), is used for the design of this jewel. It is a vitreous enamelling technique where the enamel is applied in the 18k white gold cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel. We use a combination of cool colours - blue and green for this jewel. It is designed to be worn as pendant/ brooch interchangeably, depending on the wearer's preferences. Designed in 18K white gold and natural diamonds.
