Description
Grade A tri colours jade basket pendant, with good lustre and translucency. This is an exquisite piece with a perfect execution of workmanship, fully utilising the strong contrast of three distinct colours on a same jadeite rough. The basket is a lighter shade of green, the butterfly and flowers are reddish brown and the melons in vibrant, intense green hue. This piece is delicately carved which involved two layers of workmanship, such that they are exactly symmetrical on the front and back of jade.
Certification for this pendant by Nan Yang Gemological Institute (http://www.ngi.com.sg/), a reputable and independent Singapore gem testing lab, is available upon request.
Jadeite is highly demanded and is exclusively sourced from Myanmar, formerly Burma, hence it is widely known as “Burmese Jade”. It is rich in heritage and widely believed to have spiritual meanings in the Chinese culture. Jade is believed to protect the person who wears it.
