Grade A imperial lavender jade gourd Hulu with good lustre. Its lavender is very intense and vibrant, and has one of the rarest hues among lavender jade. The Hulu looks very full with good shape, size and thickness.

Jadeite is highly demanded and is exclusively sourced from Myanmar, formerly Burma, hence it is widely known as “Burmese Jade”. It is rich in heritage and widely believed to have spiritual meanings in the Chinese culture. Jade is believed to protect the person who wears it.
The gourd is believed to ward off evil as its first chinese character 葫芦 has the similar pronunciation to the word “protect” 护, as well as “blessing” 祜。The Chinese word for gourd 葫芦, also sounds similar to 福禄, which means luck and prosperity.
